Bob Seger has enjoyed a prolific career, spanning six decades and earning passage in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2004) AND the Song Writers Hall of Fame (2012), a rare double achievement that few have accomplished.
The Heartland rock hero’s career is winding down, and the Saturday, August 26, show in Moline is being called, his “last time at the I Wireless Center.” And Seger’s stuff is still selling well. His Greatest Hits album just went Diamond, meaning it’s now sold over 10 million copies of that disc alone, but at 72 years old, he can’t go on touring forever.

The wife and I saw Bob and The Silver Bullet in 2011 in Rosemont, and he can still bring plenty of energy and emotion to his well-crafted songs. Musically, they were as good as ever with over 12 band members and background soul singers (see pic above). You won’t be disappointed, even if his voice isn’t quite what it was on “Live Bullet.”
Tickets are on sale now for Seger’s Moline show. Listen to Tim and me this week as we alternate the giveaway of Bob Seger tickets. Bob Seger at the Quad Cities from Live Nation and Peoria’s classic rock concert ticket station, 95.5, GLO.
