This coming Saturday (8/13), motorcycles and music and food and Miller Lite converge downtown Peoria along the riverfront park for the annual Miller Lite Grand Nationals concert. Saturday’s music lineup features the mighty 90’s tribute band, Hairball, playing Motley Crue, Van Halen, Queen, Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses and many more of the groups you grew up listening to back in the day. “A bombastic celebration of arena rock” is how Hairball bills itself.
But Hairball is just the final act of Saturday, and there’s two stages of music throughout the day. You’ll also see Comotose Catfish, Lexi Parr and the Ruby Blonde Band and Dressed To Kill, a Tribute to Kiss. Peoria’s biggest bike rally has lots more to do, like bike shows, custom bike builders on hand, swap meet vendors, great food in the Peo-Taz Abate food tent, the Saturday morning motorcycle parade, two stages of music and plenty of ice cold Miller Lite and Miller High Life.
We’re giving away special VIP Access to 10 lucky listeners this week (8/8-8/11). Listen for your chance to win: a pair of tickets to join us in the caged-off VIP section about 20 yards from center stage. You’ll be able to sit and enjoy the show on the main stage while enjoying free food and free Miller Lite beer (not unlimited.)
Find tickets for just $15 before 4 p.m. Saturday at select area motorcycle shops, Co-op Records and Emack and Bolios… or by phone at 309-514-etix or go online at Grandnationalsweekend.com. It’s Peoria’s largest annual motorcycle rally with great live music at this year’s annual Miller Lite Grand Nationals weekend from Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment, Peo-Taz Abate, Miller Lite and Peoria’s classic rock station, 95.5, GLO.
