The Bears got it done Sunday and picked up they’re first victory of the season with a 22-20 win over the Oakland Raiders at Soldier Field.
It came down to the very last second with a Robbie Gould game winning 49 yard field goal with just 2 seconds to go. The Bears were up late in this game and looked to close it out until another late Jay Cutler interception in the fourth allowed Oakland to put a drive together and and go up 20-19 with a field goal with just over 2 mins to play.
Give Jay Cutler some credit as he came back from the earlier interception making several key throws to move the Bears into field goal range to set up the Robbie Gould kick. FULL STATS
“Jay is a tough son-of-a-bug,” Fox said. “He fought an injury. Some lesser guys may not have been out there, but he was. I thought all-in-all, he played outstanding and well enough for us to win. My hat’s off to his toughness, battling through that game.”
Matt Forte rushed for 91 yards and went over 8,000 rushing yards for his career. However, he has been the talk of trade rumors as of late and could be moved out of Chicago in the coming weeks.
But hey, all that matters now is that the Bears are 1-3 and look to continue the momentum into a tough matchup with Kansas City on Sunday. Kickoff is at noon and you can catch the game right here on GLO!
Bear Down!
