Ozzy Osbourne was tired of carrying the secret. He was unhappy about the deathbed rumors about him that his daughter, Kelly, tried to shoot down earlier this month. The secret is that he’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, for which there is no cure.

He went on ABC’s Good Morning America and in a taped interview with Robin Roberts, confided that he and wife Sharon found out about the diagnosis after he fell at his home this past fall. Sharon was trying to be optimistic when she said, “it’s not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it’s like you have a good day, a good day, and then a a really bad day.”

A three-time Grammy Award winner, Ozzy revealed that he’s now on medications for the Parkinson’s, taking never pills since after the surgery. “I got a numbness down this arm for the surgery. My legs keep going cold.”

Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disorder that is incurable, but it often progresses slowly. Sharon said that they’ve done all the treatments that can be legally done in the U.S., so they’re going to see doctors in Switzerland in April for more help. He’s not planning on retiring at this point. Below is the interview from yesterday.
