Tim Meadows skill at improv landed him a gig on Saturday Night Live, a position he held for 10 years, a lifetime for a show that churns through cast members. Meadows spun off one of his SNL characters into a movie, The Ladies Man, that's gained a cult following after a lukewarm box office reception. More recently, he shined in regular appearances on the Craig Ferguson late night show and the NBC sitcom "Marry Me."
Tim and I may have sat in the same class at Wayne State University in Detroit, as we're the same age and both spent a few years there before dropping out of journalism school. He talks about taking an improv class in Detroit after college and finding his talent for it before heading to Chicago, eventually landing with the famous Second City troup.

Meadows plays the Jukebox Comedy Club tonight through Saturday nights, making his second Peoria appearance there. And listen to my afternoon show for more opportunities to win passes to see The Ladies Man in Peoria.
