Monday night in the hockey locker room, post game conversation turned to undefeated female MMA fighter, Rowdy Ronda Rousey, who keeps slapping her patented armbar submission hold on her opponents, rendering them helpless in seconds. After recently appearing in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with a few more pounds and curves than she carries for fights, she took care of her top challenger, Cat Zingano, last weekend in :14, one of a few opponents she's crushed in similarly fast fashion.
After the obligatory :14-second sex jokes were delivered, we talked about whether a man could hold his own against this 28-year-old former Olympic judo medalist. I admitted that she'd kick my ass, no doubt, especially with my hip, knee and shoulder needing replacements. I found this video of her from a few years back dropping a Morning Mix-like male reporter with a judo throw. She broke four of his ribs!
