Tributes For Gary Rossington Of Lynyrd Skynyrd Pour In From The Rock World

Peoria Classic Rock fans, there’s no doubt that the passing of Lynyrd Skynyrd founding guitarist Gary Rossington hurts. It seems as if he was a Brother to everyone in the Rock world. His kindness, generosity, his incredible skill on guitar, and those timeless songs he crafted with Ronnie Van Zant, Alan Collins, and the original lineup of Skynyrd is staggering. His story was certainly unique, living and enduring thru the decades as the soulful leader for the legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Gary experienced things few others have-massive success, sold out tours, huge songs, and crushing tragedy. He was a survivor, and he was an inspiration to millions along the way. Since his passing this week, there has been multiple tributes pouring in from the Rock world….

James Hetfield Of Metallica: “Thank you for bringing me so much joy with your guitar playing and songwriting in one of my all time favorite bands.”

Bret Michaels: “He brought a lot of great music & many great memories to so many people.”

Kenny Wayne Shepherd: “One of the best to ever do it.”

He is certainly going to be missed. 95-5, GLO fans, if you haven’t see the Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary of NETFLIX, “If I Leave Here Tomorrow”, I would advise you check it out, pretty incredible viewing. -Matt Bahan
