Summer starts with us at the 56th annual Tremont Turkey Festival again!

theme, “Feels Like Home” brings friends and neighbors together June 10-12 for a full weekend of food, fun

The festival’s main activities can be found in Tremont City Park, located on Illinois Route 9. The Turkey
Festival offers a family-friendly weekend packed full of food, fun and entertainment. Treat yourself to our
legendary turkey sandwiches, homemade strawberry shortcakes, and many more festival specialties!
Pre-Festival Events & Carnival!
The Miss Tremont Pageant kicks off the week’s events on Sunday, June 5 at 3:00 pm at Tremont High School.
(Doors open at 2:15 pm). Five local young women will compete for the title of Miss Tremont 2022.
Merchant’s Day happens on Thursday, June 9 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Local businesses and a few other vendors
will be open with special activities. Start on Sampson Street, just a quick turn off Route 9.
Carnival fun begins on Thursday night, June 9 and continues through the weekend! Armbands are available
for $25 when you purchase them in advance from local merchants, or $30 when you purchase at the carnival.
They offer one person unlimited rides on one day, Thursday (6:00-10:00 pm), OR Sunday (Noon to 4 pm).
Armbands are not available for the carnival on Friday or Saturday. Each armband is good for one day, but you
can purchase one for use on Thursday and another for use on Sunday. Purchase in advance and save!
Turkey Festival Food – the part you’ve been waiting for!
Multiple food lines are ready to serve you, and are located in the large covered shelter in Tremont City Park.
You’ll find turkey sandwiches, chips, sides, water and soda. And there is plentiful picnic style seating for all!
1,600 turkeys will be prepared for this year’s event, but plan your arrival time with this in mind: A set
number of turkeys are prepared fresh each day of the festival, and turkey is only served until it runs out!
Don’t arrive too late in the day and miss your chance to sample the delicious turkey!
Food lines are open in City Park during these hours:
Friday June 10 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, *or until all of the turkey is gone.
Saturday June 11 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, *or until all of the turkey is gone.
Sunday June 12 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, *or until all of the turkey is gone.
Turkey Express (Friday & Saturday only) drive through is located in the Tremont High School parking lot just
off of Route 9. It offers an opportunity to pick up festival food favorites for those who don’t have time to stop
and enjoy the whole festival!
Menu items available at Turkey express include turkey sandwiches, soda, water, chips, Little Gobblers kids
meals and strawberry shortcakes during these select times only:
Friday June 10 Turkey Express open 11 am to 1 pm and 3:30 pm to 6 pm
Saturday June 11 Turkey Express open 11 am to 1 pm and 3:30 pm to 6 pm
