Sad news in the entertainment world, as comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried has passed away at the age of 67. Gottfried died Tuesday afternoon from Recurrent Ventricular Tachycardia, due to Myotonic Dystrophy type II. Gottfried was known for his unique, high pitched voice, that he weaved into his comedy brilliantly. He was known for his edgy humor, but also as the voice of many animation characters. Disney’s “Alladin” playing ‘Largo’ the parrot, and the robotic bird “Digit” in the PBS Kids show ‘Cyberchase.’ His most notable moment may have been as the voice of the Aflac duck in commercials. Sad news indeed for the comedy world, he will be missed.
