At this point I’m sure you are well aware that Brent Smith and Zach Myers of Shinedown have put out a couple of albums as “Smith & Myers”. If you are living under a rock and haven’t herd, well they have, Volume 1 & 2 is a collection of cover tunes and originals, at this point you have had to at least hear the tune “Not Mad Enough” because we’ve been playing it forever! Go listen its a good tune, and so are their covers, like their latest cover release of “Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel. Those of you that are old enough, like myself, to remember the original, its freaking bad ass tune. The Smith & Myers cover is pretty sweet too, obviously it’s an acoustic take and they did it justice, IMO. Check it out below and on YouTube.

Also, if you’re itching for live music and a road trip they are taking the act on the road this spring. They’ll kick off a seven-city trek on May 18th in Nashville and wrap it up on May 29th in Birmingham, Alabama. Tickets for the tour, which includes small theaters and outdoor venues, are on sale, but as I said….road trip if ya wanna check the duo out.
