Springsteen asked Vedder about starting off in the Seattle grunge scene and their initial success. Vedder turned the tables by asking Springsteen about recording the Nebraska album, and Bruce told a detailed story about how the cassette recorder he used recorded at a slower speed, giving everything a distinctive sound.
