Despite all of the challenges that 2020 has dropped on us, the world of Rock and Roll continues to dazzle and blaze onward and upward. In the last six weeks in particular, here on the X, we’ve been barraged with new Rock, from multiple core artists that we all know and love here in the River City. Corey Taylor, Chris Cornell, Three Days Grace, Metallica, Deftones, SIXX A.M., Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, the list is pretty damn impressive. And now, as we embark on October, here comes the biggest Rock news of all. It looks like AC/DC is about ready to unleash something exciting for us Rock fans! Are you excited, Peoria???  This week, AC/DC has continued to tease fans by unveiling new material on their web site and social pages. The latest detail is a photo of the band, with all of their core members in place, with the words “PWR/UP”, emblazoned everywhere. Say what? Yep, in this photo, we see Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Phil Rudd, and Stevie Young. This is awesome news, because the band was in a messy situation at the end of their “Rock Or Bust” tour in 2015. Brian Johnson was out of the band, suffering from serious hearing issues. Phil Rudd was on house arrest, and Cliff Williams was all but retired. Axl Rose jumped in the band, and sang those legendary songs on multiple dates. It seemed out of whack, and it was. But now, it looks like things are back to normal, and something is brewing with this new plan! “PWR/UP??” Is this a new album? Song? Tour? We’re not sure, but we can certainly speculate. The band is celebrating their 40th Anniversary of “Back In Black”, and wouldn’t it be great to end the year with something kick-ass from the “Thunder from Down Under??”  I’ll keep you updated here, on the Morning X, and on 95-5, G-L-O!  Dyno-Mite!
