If you can’t find the time or money to travel to Germany, do the next best thing in Peoria. Attend Oktoberfest along the Peoria riverfront on Friday, 9/20, through Sunday, 9/22. Step into the big tent and step away from The States and into Germany.

Oktoberfest has been celebrated since October of 1810 in Munich, Germany, in honor of a royal wedding there. The reception partied on for a week! At the Peoria Oktoberfest, you can immerse yourself in all things German:  the authentic German food and beer, the music, the games, the fun! Watch dancers. listen to live German music and check out the parades and crazy contests like log-sawing and beer-holding.
