The music of AC/DC and co-founder Malcolm Young brought rock fans together around the world. And at Malcolm’s funeral service held yesterday in Sydney, Australia, former and current bandmates came together again to pay tribute to driving force behind the band.

Younger brother Angus, of course, was present, joined at the cermony by former singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassists Cliff Williams and Mark Evans. Malcolm’s wife and son were there, too. All who attended were given a program and a guitar pick that had Malcolm’s birth and death dates.

After the private mass, the procession exited the church with bagpipes blaring a medley of songs, including AC/DC’s “If You Wanna Rock and Roll.” Malcolm Young died November 18 after battling dementia the last few years. He retired from the band in 2014. His music, vision and materful rhythm guitar work will live on at this station, Peoria’s AC/DC classic rocker, 95.5, GLO.
