Comedian Jim Breuer is playing Peoria Friday night at the Limelight Eventplex. It’s your chance to see and hear the unique funnyman, who excels at stand up and at singing like rock stars. Jim’s bringing his backing band, The Loud & Rowdy for this show. Get tickets now at the Limelight box office during business hours and online at their website, HERE. He’ll do a full stand up act, along with 20-30 minutes of his hard rock and comedy music.
To “prime the pump” – if our President will allow me to use the phrase he created – for his show, listen to my interview with him HERE in its entirety. Just don’t try to open the audio file in Chrome, don’t ask – it’s a corporate IT thing. You can also click on the “Shows” > “Podcasts” buttons at the top of the page to hear my chats with him and other news makers.
Jim Breuer has been making us laugh since his arrival on Saturday Night Live in 1995, an offer he originally turned down, due to seeing the negative personal effects it had on some cast members. He describes that job-getting process and other strange experiences, like getting AC’DC’s Brian Johnson to sing on his first, but not last, comedic, heavy metal CD. Jim has a soft spot in his heart for Peoria, mainly because it’s the home of his main comedic influence, Richard Pryor. Hear those stories and more in the interview.
