AC/DC’s Former Singer Brian Johnson Finishes Second In Atlanta Race

AC/DC long-time lead singer Brian Johnson lost his frontman gig with the Aussie rockers last year due to his hearing loss. He was said to be going deaf and unable to perform at previous levels, plus risking total hearing loss. We also heard that Johnson was working with a hearing-loss aid last summer that might allow him to return to AC/DC, which moved on last year and had Axl Rose singing lead vocals for live gigs on their Rock of Bust Tour.

(HERE’S the catch-up back story from Rolling Stone magazine.)

So to find out that Johnson’ still participating in his other loud decibel hobby, auto racing, is richly ironic. He finished in second place in an Atlanta race this past weekend. (Story HERE.)

Me thinks that Brian’s hearing can’t be too far gone, as it’s important to have that sense working behind the wheel of a high-speed automobile. Sounds like Angus must be tired of him?
