Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us at Kelleher’s Irish Pub & Eatery in downtown Peoria Friday after the parade. Tim will be driving the GLO van in the parade as always, doing his best not to run over any candy-chasing kids. Afterward, Tim and I will be at Kelleher’s, handing out our customarily, lewd GLO koozies, while supplies last midday and early afternoon.
We’ll be in our usual spot under the tent, outdoors near the steps of Kellehers from noon ’til 2 p.m. It’s expected to be mild and possibly wet, but Kelleher’s is prepared regardless of the weather. Kelleher’s hosts the largest St. Patty’s Day party in the state outside of Chicago, and they’ve got 4,000 feet of heated outdoor tent space on Water Street, plus an additional 6,000 feet of indoor party space. And as you can see above, plenty of street space on the closed off Water Street to get your green on if it’s dry.
On the air, we’ll be playing the great Irish rocker, U2, at the top over every hour on St. Patty’s Day Friday. That’ll lead off another fun, all 80’s rock weekend as Pour Some 80’s On Me returns from Friday until Sunday at 9 p.m.
Enjoy your Irish eats and drinks with us at Kelleher’s on St. Patrick’s Day, then keep it locked on GLO to hear the tunes from your MTV past, Pour Some 80’s On Me, this weekend with Peoria’s Classic Rock 80’s station, 95-5, GLO.
