It was almost exactly two years ago that John Popper and his Jersey buddies, Blues Traveler, headlined the Harvest Moon Festival at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, along with the Gin Blossoms. Popper has not been the most mobile guy for some time – he used a cane at the show here two years ago – and he recently underwent a spinal surgery to get relief.

His right arm was losing strength until doctors discovered he had three collapsed and deformed vertebrae. If not for the surgery, Popper would’ve likely ended up with paralysis. But he and the band are back on the road again and played this past Monday on the Jimmy Kimmel late night show.
