Forty years ago, the band Boston burst onto the rock world with its near-perfect debut album, which sold a mere 17 million copies. Their songs from that album were omnipresent on the radio and proved hard to top. Albums two and three were great, too, but nothing could top that 1976 initial album, recorded by Tom Scholz in his basement recording studio.
Boston brings its 40th anniversary tour to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington on Tuesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. with special guest Jefferson Starship. Here’s you chance to see Boston, with its signature guitar and vocal harmonies, bring the classic rock hits to central Illinois.
Tickets are available at the box office and through Ticketmaster HERE. And we’ll be giving away pairs of tickets from now until the Monday before the show on the Bob and Tom Show, as well as Tim and my shows between noon at 6 p.m. See Boston and Jefferson Starship in Bloomington from Peoria’s classic rock concert station, 95.5, GLO.
