Rock legend Alice Cooper discussed his career with me last Friday, as we get ready for the invasion of his show on Wednesday night at the Peoria Civic Center. Tickets are available at the box office and through Ticketmaster HERE.
He’s been a favorite of mine since my older siblings introduced me to rock back in the early 70’s, when Alice was hitting his stride. Cooper talks about where the idea came from to create the Alice character, about how the choice became evident to clean up his act when his music heroes started dropping, about the mystery of why some songs became hits while other worthy ones didn’t….and much more.
I caught up with him in Biloxi, Mississippi, site of his first tour stop, after a few days of full rehearsals for this tour. He says you’ll hear plenty of the older classic rock hits and that you should keep your eyes on the stage, as there’s something constantly visually compelling to keep you interested throughout the show.
You can hear the interview HERE or click on the “Shows” tab at the top of this page, then the “Podcasts” section. Alice Cooper returns to Peoria Wednesday night, 8 O’clock sharp, from Outback Concerts and Peoria’s classic rock, Alice Cooper station, 95.5, GLO.
