Dan Gullett of Washington and Mike Carroll of Brimfield had their name’s pulled out of our dirty dozen Paul McCartney qualifiers and announced on air by Shelly in the 9 O’clock hour this morning. Both called back to the GLO studio line within the required 9 minutes and 55 seconds to win a pair of tickets for the Saturday, August 13 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The concert soldout in record time, within an hour, through promoter AEG Live.
Sir Paul’s One On One tour kicked off a couple days ago in Fresno, California, with his daughter, Mary, in the crowd. McCartney played “Hard Day’s Night” for the first time since 1965 with The Beatles. (See video below at this site.) And enjoy “Can’t Buy Me Love” below, from that same opening night concert.
Per the Rolling Stone review HERE, it sounds like a typically fan-pleasing show, with around 35 Beatles, Wings and McCartney solo songs play over a three hour period. Can’t wait to see him in August in the Lou!
