The oldest collegiate circus in the country is getting ready for its annual big show at Redbird Arena on the Illinois State University campus. The Gamma Phi Circus will show off its feats of strength and balance for the 87th year for three shows, Friday and Saturday nights (4/15-16) and a Saturday matinee.

This year’s Gamma Phi Circus show will have an “Around the World” theme and will feature over 80 performers – students who practice all year for theses shows. They’ll do acrobatic, aerial and gymnastic tricks, commonly seen done by professional circuses. Plus, clowns, too.

Gamma Phi Circus alums perform all around the world in organizations like: Cirque de Soleil, Disney Cruise Lines, Disney World, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios-Florida, Great America, Club Med Resort and many other nationally touring circuses.
