Our first ever GLO Lost Classic Block Party Weekend kicks off this Friday for Memorial Day weekend. Were gonna play deep tracks and cuts from your favorite artists plus one hit wonders and top 40 hits from the 70's and 80's.
One lost classic your going to hear is Blackbird by Paul McCartney and the Beatles. You can find it on the White Album, which the band put out in 1968. McCartney has said he wrote the song about the civil rights movment in the 1960's and it's still one of his favorites to play.
It's also one of the few Beatles songs I can play on the guitar as well. It's got such a great melody and it's a song I always stop on when I'm flipping around on the radio. Catch it this weekend on GLO! ~Matt Hall
