Well…..Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is the latest rocker to go country. This week at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, he took the stage and made the announcement during a concert while wearing a floor length white coat.
Tyler says he's got more country in him than people think, because he grew up in the woods of New Hampshire. He also has played songs with Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
There is no timetable for anything yet, but just know that this is going to happen. At some point, we are going to see Steven Tyler make a country music album.
What are the odds of him being successful? Are today's country music fans who are mostly comprised of young women in their 20's going to want to see some geezer who looks like an old woman sing his whiny songs? Will they even know him from his days in Aerosmith or just as that weird old guy from American Idol?
