Vampire loose in Serbia
6:35PM Saturday
December 1, 2012

Since Twilight is officially over, I figured we were done dealing with vampires. At least for a while. Unfortunately I was wrong. Turns out the vampires might really be after us.

Or that's what little villagers are saying. Deep within the mountains of western Serbian lies dark forests and spooky tales that are stirring up rumors galore. They're saying a legendary vampire ghost has been awaken.

Truth or Tourist trap? You decide.

Most believe Sava Savanovic, Serbia's most famous vampire, is a fairy tale. But, ya know, it's better to play it safe and stuff garlic in your pockets then be sorry. And by sorry, we mean having fangs stabbed in your neck.

"The story of Sava Savanovic is a legend, but strange things did occur in these parts back in the old days," said 55-year-old housewife Milka Prokic, while death gripping garlic and a cross. Not sure she entirely believes they are just lengends herself. "We have inherited this legend from our ancestors, and we keep it alive for the younger generations."

Good news- Serbia's pretty far away. If there was a vampire outbreak, we'd be fairly safe for a week or so.
