I love when you wake up in the morning and see a thick blanket of fog over the area. Yes, it makes for horrible driving so if you were trying to maneuver your way through it this morning....sorry about all that. But if you are just standing outside in it, its the most serene atmosphere. It seems to suck up the noise and you feel a moment of aloneness.
That being said, I can't look at fog and not think about John Carpenters 1980 movie with Jamie Lee Curtis and Andrenne Barbeau. I mean, how great of John to think of bringing zombie ghost's with glowing eyes and sharp, pointy objects into our imagination! Looking into the fog even now I expect something to look back at me. And don't think I can drive across Murray Baker Bridge without expecting a big black sail to roll by. My serene moment seems to have passed.....
