Recapping the Bears 23-6 Win Over the Rams
8:14AM Monday
September 24, 2012

Well it's Monday, which means time for another Chicago Bears recap.  Today we'll be talking about their "Impressive" 23-6 win over the mighty St. Louis Rams.

Boring!

I know the most important thing is getting the win, but good Lord,  what a boring game. The only exciting thing that happend is when one of the replacement refs called a penalty on "St., Louie".  The Bears only managed 10 points in the first half and it seemed like they squanderd every scoring chance they had with either penalties or 3 and outs. I don't understand why the Bears have such a hard time putting the ball in the endzone when they get inside the 20 yard line. Settle for field goals, that's Chicago Bears Football.

Bush League

The one bright spot for the offense? Michael Bush. Matt Forte was out becuase his itty bitty ankle was sore so in stepped a real man in Michael Bush. I was high on Forte until he complained more than Jay Cutler in the off season. Bush did a great job in the starting roll rushing for 55 yards and a TD. It seemed like the only time the Bears got a first down isn when he ran for them.

D-Fence

I have to admit the Bears D stepped up big, putting pressure on Sam Bradford all day long. In his prevouis two games he posted passer ratings of over 100 but managed just at 39.2 agaist the Bears while throwing 2 picks. He was sacked 4 times by a hungry bears line and threw a pick 6 to Major Wright in the 4th which pretty much sealed the game for the Bears.

No Cutler Temper Tantrums

Every week it seems to be something new with this guy. Eiether he has a great game and looks like an elite QB or he chokes big time and blames everyone but himself. This week give him some credit. He was hurried alot back there in the pocket but managed not to act like 5 year old at Walmart when his mom won't buy him a toy. He threw a pick but it was a tipped ball and I'm not putting it on him. He overthew some people and there were a few drops but he kept his pouty face to himself and didn't cost his team the game. As for next week.........

Overall

Nothing to get excited about but a win is a win, even if its agaist the crappy St. Louis Rams. The Defense has got me excited for this year and if the offense can do their part, this team could go far. Next up is a Monday nighter agaist the Dallas Cowboys. Should be intersting because both teams usually stink it up in Primetime. Can you remember the last Monday night Bears win? I'll be watching though and hopefully we'll some good things to talk about next time. Predcition: Bears 24  Cowboys 21 on a late field goal.

Go Bears!
