Sometimes driving in Peoria can be a bit confusing. There seems to be alot of one way streets, especially in the downtown area. Last night the city council discussed the possibly of putting an end to it.

The City council has asked the city staff for a plan to change Adams and Jefferson to two way streets in downtown Peoria. The reasoning behind the decision is that one way streets are not good for buisness.

"You won't find in Peoria any commercial development that's hearty and self-sustaining on a one-way street," said at-large city councilman Gary Sandberg.

In addition to Adams and Jefferson, the city council is also looking at changing all one way streets to both ways in downtown Peoria.
