An infant that was missing for almost 12 hours has been found alive and well in Toulon.
An Amber Alert was issued yesterday for 3 week old Mia Graci Thompson. Her mother Kendra Meaker had origanally told police that the child was taken from her car when she went into the post office. After being questioned for hours, her story changed several times and eventually the child was found on the side of a rural Stark County Road.
"For this particular incident, I'm so damn happy I could cry so I hope we get through here," said Stark County Sheriff Jimmie Dison. "The child was found alive on a rural Stark County road where it had either been dumped or placed by subjects unknown."
Meaker has been arrested on charges related to the incident. Three month old Mia is at the hospital for examination.
