John Irwin and his wife are big fans of Paul McCartney and The Beatles.  Big enough fans to plunk down the cash for his show at Wrigley Field a little over a year ago in August.  John and his wife said it was as good as any concert they've attended.  They said Paul played for about three hours without taking a break, even for a drink of water, until stopping before the encores.  My best friend and wife were at the same show and shared that excellent review.

So, it was pretty cool that their name was selected as winners of the Paul McCartney ticket giveaway Saturday night at Sully's Irish Pub & Eatery, downtown Peoria.  John was wearning a Beatles' "Let It Be" T-shirt.  Their love of Macca is legit.  And they were able to attend last night's show and stay the night at the Drury Inn at Union Station, a short walk away from the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis, last night after the show, compliments of Sully's and 95.5, GLO, Peoria's Classic Rock concert station.  Keep listening for your chance to win tickets to great events like that one!
