Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler's status for Monday's game in San Francisco is "uncertain" after suffering a concussion this past Sunday against the Texans.
Cutler suffered the injury at the end of the first half after a hit by Houston linebacker Tim Dobbins. Head Coach Lovie Smith commented on the injury to Cutler and defensive end Shea McClellin who also had a concussion in the game.
"Just like a player gets a concussion or any other injury, we'll continue to evaluate them before we let them go back in. As far as whether the players will be ready to go this week, we don't know that. We have an extra day to get prepared for the 49ers. Hopefully they will be ready to go."
This is Cutler's third concussion in his NFL career. He also sufferd three at Vanderbilt when he was in college. If he is unable to go, Jason Campbell will take over quarterback duties for the Bears.
