Michael Kosta is a comedian on the rise, one who's popping up more and more on TV. His unlikely path from professional tennis player (played collegiately at Illinois) to stand up comic is definitely the road less traveled.
Kosta's appeared frequently on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on the panel of Chelsea Lately. Last year, he starred in his first half hour comedy special on Comedy Central. And, of course, you've heard him on The Bob and Tom Show on this fine station.
Click on the "Podcasts" button at the top of our home page to hear the interview I did with him in advance of his Friday and Saturday shows at the Jukebox Comedy Club. He had to cancel his Thursday show due to work being done on an upcoming Fox-TV special. He'll do two shows each, Friday and Saturday nights, and I've got pairs of tickets to give away during the 5 O'clock Free Ride for his Friday 10:30p show. Below, check out Michael in his role as humorous host of a college hockey program that won him an Emmy in his home state of Michigan.
