The noise could be heard for blocks when a boiler room explosion rocked the Archer Daniels Midland Plant early yesterday Morning.

It happend around 3 a.m when an exposion happend in the boiler area of the plant

"They're very very lucky," said Division Chief Ed Olehy. "I mean, the personnel there are very lucky. They had, like I said, no injuries that we know of. In a blast like that, it could have very easily, you know, taken out many people."

The facility was closed for the rest of the day and the damage is expected to be in the million dollar range.
