There's going to be alot less drinking on the campus of Bradley University. Starting today the University is temporarily banning alcohol from fraternity parties.

Basically, the move means non-members cannot consume alcohol in any of the school's 14 chapter houses or at any social event the fraternity hosts off campus.  Its being done because of a recent increase in aclohol related violations and underage drinking.

"No parties at fraternity houses period," said Nathan Thomas, Bradley's Interim Vice President for Student Affairs. "It's fair to say that this is a reminder for the students to remind them why they're here, what's important, and the importance those organizations play on campus," said Thomas.

University officials are saying it will be temorary until a new "risk management" policy is reviewed. Fraternities are still allowed to host formals and mixers with third party vendors.
