Bears Sign Pro Bowl Offensive Lineman

November 28, 2012

With the recent injuries to the offensive line, the Chicago Bears went out yesterday and signed free agent Andre Gurode.

from espn.com

Gurode made it to the Pro Bowl five times as a center for the Dallas Cowboys from 2006-2010. He was released in 2011 after a knee injury but came back later that year with Baltimore.

The Bears just lost right guard Lance Louis for the season with a torn ACL. Left guard Chris Spencer is also out with a knee injury and Chilo Rachal is still M.I.A from the Bears, walking out after being benched before last game. Even though things are tough right now on the line, the players are still focused on thier goal

"The mood of the team is great. We're sitting real nice," said left tackle J'Marcus Webb. "Seattle is in our way. We can't let injuries or anything like that (keep) us from reaching that ultimate goal. We're at home, and we have to play like we're at home. The past weeks before last week were a little rough. We feel good. We're going to continue to strive for excellence."
