On of rock’s seminal performers, Bob Dylan and his band will play at ISU’s Braden Auditorium on Tuesday, October 29th. Tickets go on sale Friday (9/13) at 10 am at Bob Dylan’s website (click HERE) and at Ticketmaster.com and at the box office, M-F, 7:30a-5:30p.

His tour was just announced yesterday. It will be a relatively short, 6-week, North American tour.

Bob Dylan has penned so many iconic folk rock songs through his long career. My personal favorite is “Hurricane,” the story about boxer Hurricane Carter, who got railroaded and convicted of a murder he didn’t commit when he was a rising, star boxer in the 60’s. “Blowing in the Wind,” “Tangled up in Blue,” “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” “All Along The Watchtower” (made famous by Jimi Hendrix), “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Rainy Day Women #12 and 35” the everybody must get stoned song, “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “My Back Pages,” “Most of the Time,” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “The Times They Are a Changin'” and the list, seemingly, goes on and on. Many of them became famous when other rock stars covered Dylan’s songs.

I’ll have pairs of tickets to giveaway during my 4:45p Doc’s Dealio segment, Monday, 9/16 – Friday, 9/20. Tickets provided by Madison House Presents. See Bob Dylan in Normal on October 29, presented by AEG, Madison House Presents. Tickets range from $53-$88. The Legend is coming to central Illinois with 95.5,GLO.
