The only place you need to go Sunday for your St. Patrick’s Day partying is Kelleher’s Irish Pub & Eatery on Water Street, downtown Peoria. It’s already been named the largest party of its kind in the Midwest by alcohol distributors in 5 adjoining states.

And if that weren’t big enough, the outdoor party with heated tents and live music being bumped all day by the DJ’s from the Red Bull Fire Truck, will now extend around State Street, thanks to 8 Bit Arcade Bar and Bearded Owl Brewing.

So stop on down for the biggest and best Irish bash on this part of the planet. You can swing by for breakfast starting at 8:30 am Sunday (doors open at 8 am), with Kelleher’s awesome, authentic Irish fare waiting for you. The parade, with Tim Ylinen walking the route alongside the GLO van with Sam’s Club candy giveaways, starts at 2 pm this year.

Lunch begins at 11 am inside Kelleher’s and features corned beef & cabbage, shepherd’s pie and chicken strips. Outside, grab burgers, Guinness brats and chicken sandwiches, as you wash it down with Irish ales, lagers, domestics drinks and Irish whiskey – not all at the same time, of course!

In addition to the fine Irish fare and Red Bull DJ’s bumping the music throughout the day, you can go inside Kelleher’s to hear genuine Irish music from the band, Turas. And as always expect Pat Sullivan, with a pint of Guiness in hand, to lead the Celtic Cross Bagpipers through the crowd a few times on St. Patty’s Day.
