We Beatles’ fans have enjoyed listening to “The Beatle Years” on Sunday mornings for years on 95.5, GLO, Peoria’s Beatles’ station.  Host Bob Malik has retired, wrapping up his long-running show at the end of 2018. Now, we’ve got a new, unique show that’s debuting this weekend, Sunday at 9 am, January 6, called “The Beatle Brunch,” that you’re sure to love.

The Beatle Brunch is hosted by Beatles historian and longtime radio DJ Joe Johnson. It’s been heard for over 20 years across the country and now will be in Peoria. Joe and his gang will take us down a slightly different memory lane with all The Beatles past music and interviews and stories, plus updates on all things Paul and Ringo are up to and Beatles-related news. The Beatle Brunch also talks Beatles stuff with current musicians and stars who’ve been influenced by The Beatles, which is just about everyone in the music industry.

Here’s how Joe describes the hour-long show:

The Brunch is a captivating hour of music and interviews with The Beatles as ‘The Greatest Little Rock Band in the World’ with the contemporary music of Paul and Ringo. The program also features new musicians, artists and authors who were influenced and inspired by The Fab Four. You’ll hear interviews from the early days of Beatlemania including rare audio clips from Manager, Brian Epstein, The 5th Beatle, George Martin, George Harrison, John Lennon and other prominent personalities, plus the most up to date information about The Beatles music today. The Show takes a trip inside the studio to hear a song under construction, or a journey to a faraway stage … a flashback to a famous Beatles concert, or a Television appearance … to recent musical performances and quips by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

Get ready for you Beatles fix, Sunday mornings at 9 O’Clock with The Beatle Brunch on Peoria’s classic rock station, 95.5, GLO.
