This past week, Queen’s new bio-film, “Bohemian Rhapsody” became the all-time highest grossing film of that genre ever in both the United State and world wide. And on the heels of that popularity surge – their songs are re-emerging on the Billboard charts, too – the band will hit the road for 23 North American dates, starting in July in Vancouver.

Queen, with Adam Lambert doing the Freddie Mercury vocals, plays Chicago’s United Center on Friday, August 9. Tickets on sale now through LiveNation.com.

Brian May said, “This is a great opportunity. Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever, and got us our best notices ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious! Watch out, America!”

As for the movie box office take, it continues to swell. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is at over $164 million in revenue, beating out the previous bio-pic king, “Straight Outta Compton,” the NWA story.
